Paper used for Graphite and Colour portraits

Stonehenge fine art papers are 100% cotton, with a smooth, flawless, slightly mottled surface to resemble vellum. They are acid-free, buffered with calcium carbonate to help protect artwork from contaminated environments. Created over 30 years ago, Stonehenge was originally created for a variety of printmaking techniques including etching and silkscreen.

Over the decades it has become one of the finest papers for pastel, pencil, charcoal, acrylics and watercolour.

These are available in three colours, White, Pearl grey and Fawn.

When determining the price of a hand-drawn portrait or painting, several factors come into play.

My pricing guide typically includes a standard rate for subjects depicted in a head and shoulders style. However, should you require a full-body drawing, there might be an additional charge ranging from £10 to £15.

The guide applies to common subjects like animals and people. Typically, I create graphite or color portraits without a background, although a shaded background can be incorporated if suitable. Additionally, I'm open to discussing including other elements for an extra fee.

For drawings of homes, buildings, or vehicles, I'll need to provide a personalized quote based on the provided photos. While I strive to maintain prices in line with the guide, certain projects may necessitate additional costs depending on the complexity and time required.

It's worth noting that I exclusively use high-quality mediums for all my drawings and paintings.

In the unlikely event your portrait ends up lost or damaged during transit, I will then undertake the work again, so no risk to you.

No upfront deposit required.

For portraits featuring fewer than four subjects, typically no deposit is required. Yet, for portraits exceeding three subjects, a deposit ranging from 20-30% may be requested. Additionally, if framing is requested, the frame's cost is collected upfront. No VAT will be added to the total.

This option requires no upfront payment, However if the order is over 3 subjects, then a standard 30% upfront payment will be asked for.

(PayPal Pay in 3 is an interest-free loan that lets you split your basket into 3 payments, with the first due at time of purchase. And subsequent payments due every month on the same date.
You are still covered by the no risk guarantee, so in the extremely unlikely event you aren't happy with the work you will be refunded what you have paid.

Credit/Credit cards

Most major credit/debit cards accepted. All payments are handled by PayPal's card portal, I hold no personal payment information. 1.2% surcharge + 0.30p handling fee.

Cheque

Once you have viewed and approved the portrait, you will be sent an invoice with the all appropriate details attached.
Once cleared, the portrait can usually be sent within that week.

Please note the prices are inclusive of VAT, so what you see is what you pay.

MEDIA:

GRAPHITE PORTRAITS

Graphite portraits are graphite pencils only, I will use a range of different densities from 2h the hardest up to 5b the softest, allowing me to create more depth and range to the drawing. However, I will go through how your piece will be done in the rundown of the order or when discussed via email

COLOUR PORTRAITS

In my colour portraits I will generally use an oil-based pencil, coupled with a blender. This will give it a less sketchy look and allow me to create more detail and a better finish. Which is ultimately what I will be looking for, I will often complete the portrait with acrylic highlights to really finish the piece off. However, I will go through how your piece will be done in the rundown of the order or when discussed via email

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

Acrylic on canvas paintings, will be acrylics only.
These are painted on a high-quality smooth canvas, either on a box, or thin. (Thin will come as standard in the price, you will get a full colour background too, which will be in the price.
I only use the very best professional paints, and brushes for that high quality finish.
Paintings will come with layers of an isolation coat and finished off with a top-quality removable varnish.

For bespoke sizes a quote will be needed, For northern Ireland, the islands and the highlands framed portraits will be £5 extra, unframed £4 extra, overseas orders please get a quote from me first.
